Teacher of the Year Awards

Picture
  • Every year, each public school in the district nominates its own Teacher of the Year. DCEF honors all of these deserving recipients with a recognition dinner, and provides each teacher with a Golden Apple classroom bell as a memento of being honored by their peers. We also update the Teacher of the Year plaque that each school proudly displays near their main office or reception desk.

Note: The Douglas County Education Fountation is in NO WAY involved with selecting which teachers will be honored each year. The staffs at each school nominate one of their peers as the Teacher Of The Year for their school, and the Douglas County School District staff makes the final selection for the overall district-level award.
