Income Sources


The success of the Douglas County Education Foundation requires the energetic, dedicated participation of individuals and the business community. Your donation is a commitment to the excellence of our schools and to our children's education.

  • Gifts from families, individuals, and businesses.
  • Special benefit events.
  • Memorial bequests, special contributions and honorary donations recognizing special teachers or individuals.
  • At a donor's request, special contributions may be earmarked for a suitable commemorative project.
  • Gifts can be made by check or credit card, or the Foundation can accept stocks, bonds, art work, or other gifts in kind.

 

Tax Considerations


Douglas County Education Foundation, Inc. is organized pursuant to the Educational and Charitable Non-profit Organizations Law of the State of Nevada, within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your donations are generally tax-deductible. However, for details specific to your situation, we suggest that you check with your professional tax advisor.


Upcoming Events


This coming Fall, we are planning our 2nd annual 5K/10K fun run benefit event, titled RUN, ED, RUN! The race itself is planned for Sunday, 10-10-10! We will post additional details here as they become available. All funds raised at this event will directly support Douglas County schools and students by funding Curriculum Enhancement Grants.
