Curriculum Enhancement Grants

Every year, DCEF's Allocations Committee reviews the grant requests that were submitted by the published deadline. We evaluate the requests and fund those with the most promise to provide value for students, regardless of which school site submitted them. Some years, we do not receive grant requests from every school. As a result, not every school receives a grant every year. Once a grant has been approved for funding, the Douglas County School District typically makes the purchases needed to implement the grant and DCEF reimburses the district for their up-front outlay.

Spring 2010 Grant Application Form

Applicants: Print a copy of the form from this online link:
Spring 2010 Grant Application Form. Fill out the form, attach supporting documentation if appropriate, receive approval from your Site Administrator and mail the form and any attached documents to DCEF at our postal address: DCEF, PO Box 91, Minden NV 89423.

Applications received by the deadline (25 June, 2010) are reviewed by the DCEF Allocations Committee. Determination of support is based on available funds and the perceived quality of the project. Funds not expended during the project year revert to the DCEF general fund. Note: Project funding is also subject to District approval, as DCSD typically makes the "up-front" expenditures, and is then reimbursed by DCEF.
